Khusta Jack started his political activism career in high school and has made impactful change ever since. He went on to study for a BA Honours in Economics and Development Studies from Sussex University, the United Kingdom before beginning his business career. He has enjoyed great success and has been invited to serve on the board of many companies and NGOs.
He remains an activist and stalwart for change that will bring about equality and dignity for all South Africans.
Leading the Abantu Integrity Movement is the next logical step in solving the problems that Nelson Mandela Bay faces through strategic and integrity-driven governance.
To get the Metro working. By working I mean, a municipality that works for its residents in areas like service delivery, environmental protection, safety and security and being the first choice investment destination that will create jobs for its residents.
Aim will bring consistent and competent leadership with integrity. And strict adherence to the application of all rules and regulations that a municipality is governed by.
I love the wide-open spaces of the beaches, the closeness to Addo and the rich history and heritage of the metro which cuts in all directions whether Khoisan, amaXhosa, Afrikaans or English plus all the foreigners who call our Bay home.
To wrestle the Metro out of the circle of chaos that is bedevilling us. I wanted to stop the economic, social and political decline that has left the NMB as a shadow of its former self.
Nelson Mandela Bay is a treasure that has been a melting pot of people from different backgrounds that has seen success and many glimmers of hope, but these are too few and far between.
This needs to the norm, and the Abantu Integrity Movement plans to make excellence and success for the Metro the everyday.

Since the 1976 student uprisings, Khusta Jack has always been involved in political activism. At the time he was elected as the Chairman of SCM in 1978, and since 1979 was involved in the formation of COSAS.
His schooling was interrupted when in 1980, he led the school boycott. He was jailed for his activism.
In 1983, Khusta formed the Port Elizabeth Youth Congress (PEYCO). PEYCO later became the first affiliate of the UDF, that same year. In 1985 he led the Consumer Boycott of white businesses. That led to him being incarcerated at St Albans and other prisons till 1989.
After matriculating after some delays, Khusta studied further in the UK. He began his business career in the private sector and then moved into his own businesses. He was invited to serve on the board of many companies including: I & J, Aberdare Cables, Sun International Boardwalk Casino, BKS engineering and more.
He has served in charities and non-government organisations such as; Eastern Province Rugby union, Chairman of Port Elizabeth College, Stats Council of South Africa, Demarcation Board, Business Against Crime, and St Francis Hospice.
Recently Khusta wrote and published his autobiography, “To Survive and Succeed - From Farm Boy to Businessman”. You will find much of his writing on socio-economic and political matters in the regular columns he writes for local and national newspapers.
