Community Builder
I have been involved in community development through promotion of health and welfare of citizens particularly in correct and responsible use of medicines.
I have taken part in motivating high school learners to focus their attention on schoolwork and to avoid drugs and substance abuse that may lead to destruction of their lives.
The key word for me is firstly having leaders who are accountable to the citizens of NMB.
Ethical and responsible leadership will ensure that the limited resources of the municipality are utilized responsibly and distributed to areas of greatest needs.
I want to be part of the team to fight the scourge of unemployment, poverty, and inequality. I believe that these social challenges can only be addressed if moral leaders are at the helm of the city council. We need honest leaders with integrity who are in it for the citizens and not their own selfish reasons.
I'm a member of the moral regeneration team. We strive to create responsible freedom and promote the rule of law by all society.
We believe that ethical leadership forms the foundation of good societal behaviour. As the leaders of today we owe it to future generations to responsibly utilize the limited resources within our society in order to ensure a brighter future for the generations to come.
In my team we commit to promote:
Honesty, integrity and loyalty.
Family values.
Fight against domestic and gender-based violence.
Ensure a society that respects human life.
Use of resources for the benefit of the society at large.
Firstly, by being true and honest about the call to serve the citizens of the NMB.
The next thing is to elect leadership with high moral fibre, integrity and honestly to put the citizens of NMB first.
Promoting competency over patronage with the view that the aspirations and dreams of the citizens of NMB take precedence over my aspirations.
Responsible use and distribution of financial resources to pertinent projects that are at the core to benefit the citizens such as building schools, libraries, recreational centres, improving infrastructure such as roads to ensure that we attract investment.
The capacitation of technical schools and FET colleges to ensure than we equip carpenters, plumbers, boil-makers, electricians that can work for themselves to contribute to the economy of NMB.
I enjoy the peaceful beaches that we have in the NMB. The friendliness of the people of the NMB.
Overall, the potential that we have as NMB citizens to build a stable and equal opportunity city for everyone to thrive and feel safe.
I joined AIM to serve the citizens of Nelson Mandela Bay. I'm driven by the desire to have the Nelson Mandela Bay thrive and provide equal opportunities to all citizens to succeed.
One way to achieve this is to be in a group of people who share the same vision of seeing the Nelson Mandela Bay a place where harmony, peace, respect for human life and rule of law are observed. I want to be part of a team that will ensure that our children have descent schools, our mothers are safe and leaders are held responsible for their actions.
I joined AIM to be part of a team that promotes the values of Ubuntu, a society with good moral fibre, integrity and honesty for the benefit of the citizens of Nelson Mandela Bay.
